Pufferfish Case Study
Based in Edinburgh, Pufferfish design and manufacture unique spherical displays for offices, exhibitions and events. Due to the complex nature of the products, Pufferfish frequently need to transport expensive parts as well as intricate AV equipment. It is therefore vital that their transit packaging is of the highest quality, whilst expressing the all-important brand image that Pufferfish work so hard to maintain.
Pitreavie Cases were delighted to be commissioned by Pufferfish to carry out the design and manufacture of bespoke transit flight cases.
A solution was required to allow the business to securely store and transport their sensitive equipment. Pitreavie Cases were selected to supply and manufacture the bespoke transit cases as they offered premium quality of finish, value and service with the added benefit of being in Scotland.
The project required close communications between Pitreavie Cases designers and the team at Pufferfish. The design team measured and modelled the equipment which resulted in the manufacture and supply of bespoke, secure, robust and portable branded cases being supplied. Each case contained CNC engineered foam inserts, designed to protect the sensitive equipment from vibration and impact during transit.
Tom Allan, Production Manager at Pufferfish said “Since we were initially introduced to Pitreavie Group we have struck up an excellent working relationship and they have become one of our most valued key suppliers. We have found that they inherently understand our needs, due to their customer-focused approach - They are always highly responsive and approachable and have given us great confidence with a high level of expertise in design, materials and the manufacturing process”.
